According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Inter will closely monitor Verona talent Reda Belahyane in tomorrow’s Serie A match at the Bentegodi as they believe the 20-year-old could become Hakan Calhanoglu’s heir.
Reigning Serie A champions Inter have set their sights on Verona midfielder Belahyane and will scout the Moroccan international tomorrow in a Serie A away match at the Stadio Bentegodi.
Belahyane: Inter identify possible Calhanoglu heir at Verona
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Inter believe Belahyane could be a long-term replacement for 30-year-old midfielder Calhanoglu, who will miss tomorrow’s match due to a muscle injury suffered during the November break with Turkish national team.
Potentially, the Nerazzurri may have to battle rivals Milan for Belahyane’s signature next summer, given La Gazzetta reported last week that the Rossoneri were also interested in the 20-year-old.
Belahyane made his Serie A debut last season, collecting two appearances in the Italian top flight.
The Moroccan international has two assists in 11 Serie A appearances for Verona this season.
