La Gazzetta dello Sport recently reported as PSG and Barcelona step up their efforts, putting pressure on Napoli to finalize a deal before next summer.
According to a recent report from La RepubblicaBarcelona are in ongoing talks to sign a Napoli player, with negotiations already underway. The Italian media reports that the deal could be finalized for around 80 million euros.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Naples remain at odds
As reported Tutomercatoweb (h/t Le10Sport), Kvaratskhelia is still not convinced by Napoli’s €5 million salary offer for his contract extension. PSG could take advantage of the situation to move forward on the file.
The Parisian management would be ready to offer up to €11 million per year to the Georgian international to convince him to sign. It remains to be seen whether such an amount will tip the scales in favor of PSG in Kvaratskhelia’s mind.
Journalist Graeme Bailey told Rousing the Kop that Liverpool are monitoring Kvaratskhelia as part of their plans to prepare for the possible departure of Mohamed Salah.
“When you have maybe Kvaratskhelia on the market, let’s not forget that Liverpool have just signed the second best Georgian player,” Bailey said. “Liverpool are all over Kvaratskhelia, they know the situation, there could be a chance to get him next summer.”
